I'm glad you prefer the new one. I came up with “Cop and Robber” in the shower, thinking that was super clever at the time, and I have hated it ever since I posted the story. Like you said, it didn’t really fit the tone I'll be going for. The new title actually means something and ties into the main character's motivation (and isn't just a “witty” play on a common phrase), so I'm much happier with it. I've been planning on changing it for a while, figuring I'd do so once I write the next chapter, but when reuploading everything here, it just made sense to start fresh now.
