Gina sat patiently in the chair of the reception area, quietly humming to herself as she filled out paperwork. She was struggling to remember her insurance information, and was kicking herself for forgetting her car at home. “Oh well, it’ll be fine,” the young woman mumbled to herself, getting up to walk across the room.
The petite brunette in her twenties approached the counter, handing the paperwork and clipboard to the annoyed looking receptionist.
“I think I’ve got everything covered, I just left my insurance card at home,” she said, looking slightly embarrassed. “Sorry!”
The receptionist, a brunette named Sandy in her mid thirties with thick rimmed glasses, just let out a sigh. “Okay, take your seat,” she said, making no attempt to mask the irritation in her voice.
Sandy didn’t have a problem with Gina, as much as she had a problem with everyone. The dental assistant had her request for time off to go on vacation denied. The lame excuse they gave her was that with the new shrinking tech the office was using, they needed more people constantly around the office. They were a bit short staffed after a few incidents.
Rather than being on a beach with some of her girlfriends right now, Sandy was spinning in her chair, caring about her job less and less every day. Gina was just another patient who was going to have a tiny crew clean her teeth, and after filling out the necessary paperwork, Sandy led her to a room which to Gina’s surprise, looked completely normal.
“Oh, I thought it would be more high tech,” Gina said awkwardly, not really knowing if Sandy was even paying attention to her. “Just cause, you know, shrinking technology and everything.”
This time Sandy managed to stifle her sigh. “Nope, just a normal dentist office,” she said, motioning for Gina to take a seat in the chair in front of her. “Alright I’ll be back in a minute so we can get started on your X-rays,” Sandy said before walking out of the room.
In the adjacent room, Sandy was preparing to fire up the necessary equipment to start taking x-rays, when she stopped and smiled. Glancing up at the monitor, she saw Gina sitting there, a gleeful smile on her face as she scrolled through her phone. Without thinking, Sandy reached forward and started to activate the shrink ray in the room, turning it on.
Gina glanced up for a moment, hearing the gentle hum of some type of machinery coming from within the room. This didn’t seem abnormal to her at all, there was plenty of equipment in the office, and she had never been to a dentist office that utilized shrinking technology before. Sure it was much more expensive than other offices, with liability and all, but Gina was standing up in her best friend's wedding next week and was going to do everything possible for a perfect, white smile.
What the patient was not aware of was that the shrinking device was currently focused directly on her. She had no way of knowing that a disgruntled assistant was just trying to be funny and amuse herself at this moment, and didn’t particularly care about getting fired anymore.
“Annnnd shrink,” Sandy mumbled to herself, after making sure no one was watching what she was doing. Within two seconds, Gina went from a short young woman barely over five feet tall, to no longer visible on the monitor. “Oops, did I do that?” Sandy laughed.
The experience was not as entertaining for poor Gina. The woman was minding her own business, when she suddenly felt her muscles tense up and a nauseating falling feeling took over her. Her vision couldn’t keep up with her rapid shrinking, and by the time it had returned, she started screaming in panic.
Something had been screwed up. It had to be! “No! You guys need to help me!” the panicked Gina shouted, now on the enormous dental chair, watching the giant bodies of people walk down the hallway past her room. She started running back and forth trying to figure out what to do, when two massive beings entered the room.
“OKAY MS. ROLLINS, IS THIS YOUR FIRST….” the giant man standing in the room had said. It didn’t take a genius to realize he was the dentist, and he glanced up from his tablet to see a surprisingly seemingly empty room.
“DID SHE LEAVE?” he said, turning, with a confused looking Sandy standing behind him.
“I don’t know, I led her in here,” Sandy said with a shrug. She made a casual glance to the chair and made note of the quarter inch person scurrying across it.
“Alright, we’ll if you find her let me know and we can get started,” the giant dentist said with a sigh, before walking out of the room.
“Hey! Hey down here!” the panicked Gina shouted, and began to run across the chair she was trapped on. Gina considered herself pretty smart, and knew she had to be proactive to escape this situation. She watched as the dentist exited the room, leaving that rude assistant as the only person in the room.
Gina watched as the massive woman walked back and forth, appearing to put things away and filing paperwork. The shrunken patient grew more and more annoyed that this giant was oblivious to her.
Sandy was doing all she could to keep from breaking out and laughing right there. The brunette adjusted her glasses and kept making passes by the chair, sneakily keeping an eye on the tiny woman.
“WELL WHERE DID SHE GO?” Sandy said aloud, putting her hands on her hips. Her acting was horrible, but Gina was in such a state of panic she either didn’t care or didn’t notice.
“Hey! I’m here on the chair!” the quarter inch woman shouted, now jumping up in the air and waving her arms.
Much to Gina’s horror, the massive woman turned around, and began to sit down in that very chair! A well-shaped ass hidden behind a wall of green medical scrubs. “Wait no, don’t sit on me!” the miniscule woman screamed, and began sprinting in the opposite direction.
Sandy took care not to flatten the tiny woman under her giant butt. She sat down on the front half of the chair, causing the cushion to shake under her weight.
Gina screamed in terror as the fell toward, rolling several times before getting back up to her feet. This titanic woman had just narrowly avoided sitting on her and grinding her into a paste. Despite knowing she needed to get someone’s help to grow back to her normal size, Gina was hesitant to rush up to this giantess and start pounding on her leg to get her attention. She knew the slightest movement from this woman could result in her getting crushed.
While Gina pondered what to do next, another hilarious idea popped into Sandy’s brain. “BETTER GO FIND HER,” she said aloud, standing up from the dental chair. Just as the giant woman started to turn, she purposely looked down and her eyes widened. “OH SHIT, WHO’S DOWN HERE?” she asked, extending her hand to pick up the tiny person.
Letting out a shriek, Gina was lifted into the air between two of Sandy’s giant fingers. She froze in fear and amazement as she was held in front of the giant, brown eyeball.
“MY BAD FOR ALMOST SITTING ON YOU,” she said, her breath washing over the tiny woman. She then squinted, pretending to try and recognize the tiny woman. “WHO ARE YOU BY THE WAY? IS THAT YOU EMILY?”
“Wait what? No, I’m Gina! I’m a patient who got shrunk!” she shouted, though her cries fell on deaf ears.
“YOU KNOW EMILY, SINCE YOU'RE TINY MAYBE YOU CAN HELP ME OUT,” Sandy continued. “ONE OF MY BACK RIGHT MOLARS HAS BEEN BOTHERING ME LATELY. WHY DON'T YOU TAKE A LOOK!”
Not knowing how to respond, Gina’s jaw dropped as she saw the massive mouth open right in front of her. She tried to struggle and plead but it was no use, Sandy deposited her right on top of her fat, wet tongue.
Closing her eyes, Sandy smiled as she retracted her tongue into her mouth. She knew that if she ever got caught intentionally shrinking a patient she wasn’t just getting fired, she was getting jail time. But she knew she was smart enough to deny everything, accidents happened after all. She start to suck on the tiny body inside her mouth, gently tossing her around with her tongue.
“Please open your mouth! Spit me out!” the tiny woman wailed. She was in complete blackness and could not tell which direction was up or down. Her body and nice clothes had been covered in a slimy layer of saliva, and she feared that at any moment she could slide down this woman’s throat to her doom.
What really startled Gina was an ominous sound coming from deep within Sandy’s abdomen. She had no time to react before Sandy let out a burp.
It was nothing to Sandy, just a run of the mill burp, she hadn’t even opened her mouth. Unless someone was standing very close to her, they wouldn’t even have heard it.
It was horrible for Gina. The tiny woman gagged and wretched, all while her ears echoed and rang. With her eyes closed and her hands cupped over her ears, she didn’t realize two of Sandy’s fingers entered her mouth to remove the tiny woman.
“SORRY ABOUT THAT EMILY, BUT YOU REALLY WEREN'T DOING A GOOD JOB IN THERE,” Sandy said. She knew her coworker Emily was currently inside the mouth of another patient, but Gina wouldn’t know the difference. “YOU’RE LUCKY I DIDN'T….WAIT A SECOND,” she said, continuing to act as she narrowed her eyes and bringing the tiny woman back to her face. “YOU'RE THAT PATIENT THAT CAME IN! DID YOU SHRINK YOURSELF?”
Gina’s eyes widened at the accusation. “What?! No! I didn’t do this! Something happened and I….”
“WHATEVER, I’LL GROW YOU BACK TO NORMAL,” Sandy said with an exasperated sigh, placing Gina back down on the seat.
After leaving the room, she starting giggling to herself while working the shrink ray, and with skillful aim returned Gina back to her normal size.
“Oh geez, what happened?” Sandy heard Dr. Ryers say, walking into the room. “Are you okay?”
Rushing into the room pretending to be startled, Sandy’s eyes widened. Dr. Ryers was there wide-eyed, staring at a wet and disheveled Gina sitting in the chair, looking very freaked out.
“Someone she ended up getting shrunk, and I might have mistaken her for Emily,” Sandy said, not really caring if she got fired.
“You, put her in your mouth?” the dentist said, turning to her in confusion. “Why were you planning on putting Emily in your mouth?”
Sandy gave a casual shrug. “What? Can’t I get a free cleaning every now and then? I’m supposed to be on vacation anyway,” she mumbled under her breath.
Dr. Ryers took a deep breath and closed his eyes, letting out an irritated sigh. “Ms. Rollins, your appointment today will be free of charge. Can we continue?” he asked gently.
Gina was doing her best to stay calm, but she was clearly bothered by what just happened. After taking a few deep breaths, she was able to force a smile. “Yeah, that should be fine,” she whispered.
“Excellent, I’ll shrink first so you can see how safe it is,” Dr. Ryers said before shooting Sandy another annoyed glance. “Please get a few more assistants for this, without any more screw ups.”
Sandy grinned walking out of the room. Today would be a fun day after all.
