Vayne is a regular at Mortal District Rho-07's illicit fighting rings. When a drunken Angel stumbles into the District, destroys Vayne's home, and mortally injures his sister Sylvie, he is forced to find a way to earn a stupendous sum of credits to save Sylvie's life. Venturing into the immense world of Angels, he chases a rumour of an Angel-run establishment where, so it is said, mortals such as he are given the opportunity to fight for Their amusement. The first story set in my revamped cosmology.
