“Magic is about intention. True magic is about focus. Through both of those you have endless possibilities at your command,” The multi-colored-haired mage spoke calmly, carefully watching the flying floating objects in the study. The deep red-haired apprentice mindfully stared at the different measuring devices and ingredients she had to combine. The student had her right hand holding a wooden wand, intricately carved with knots and swirls, pointed at the ingredients. Her other hand out and open, simply trying to keep composure.

A small metal spoon drifted over to an open jar and scooped some white granules. Carefully floating up and shaking a bit to even out the measure. It then calmly flew over and poured the salt into the mixing bowl of other pale dry ingredients. Slowly the apprentice set the teaspoon down and then focused on a larger wooden spoon beside it. Lifting that up into the air, it blew over and passed its next intended ingredient. The shy student blushed, carefully bringing the wayward utensil back and gently scooping into a burlap sack of yeast. In the same motion as the salt, scooped the ingredient, shaking it level, and then brought it back to the much larger bowl. Once it was added, the the practicing mage set the spoon down and invisibly clutched a glass cup lifting it in the air.

“My student, how about you try without the glass this time,” Amethyst encouraged. Ruby looked to her teacher with wide eyes almost dropping the glass, before clutching it with magic once again. Carefully setting it down she looked over to the basin of cool water. With a touch of nervousness, the apprentice took a deep breath in and out. She raised her hands once more, pointing the wand toward the center of the small pool. Thinking about the measured amount took great thought and the water's surface shimmered with an unknown force. Slowly a large droplet rose up bringing more and more water into it. The bubble grew until a decent-sized sphere of floating liquid hung in the air. It shimmered and wiggled, weightless above the well which returned to rest. Crawling through the air, that orb of liquid drifted awfully slow and the student worried it was taking too long.

“Nice and easy...” the teacher reassured. “I would rather you do it right, than fast. Speed will come with practice and you've already come so far.” she motivated so tenderly. The masterful mage crossed her legs just to adjust her position. True to her name, Amethyst wore royal purple robes as everything she dressed in had her favorite hue. The master's mane was of bountiful curls ranging from pale, almost white, to midnight violet. All natural mind you, at least that is what can be possible when your connection to magic is as powerful as hers.

Sitting in such a comfortable position, legs crossed, the tan woman effortlessly held a gracefulness. That dark purple cloth the smiling mage wore clung tight to her ample curves. Even just making a minor adjustment as she watched intently would jiggle her plump assets. She filled out any seat well with her thick thighs and generous amount of cake. In the past, Amethyst had complained out loud that she should lose a little weight. But Ruby had been quick to encourage, “Naw, it's better to have a little extra, than not enough.” The student had no idea how much her compliments flustered the Mage.

In the kitchen now turned classroom, Ruby felt a renewed sense of appreciation with Amethyst's nice words. The apprentice loved how understanding her teacher had been and how patient the kind woman was. The two had only worked together a few months but she had learned more about magic than the rest of her life. The mage had such passion and attention to detail that were lacking from any of the others she had tried to learn from before.

The intended bubble of water finally levitated over and above the dry ingredients. Ruby focused hard to not drop the liquid all at once the way she had in the past. If it slammed down, the resulting splash would mean having to start all over. Bringing it down gently so as to not pop the bubble or disrupt the mixture, the water gently touched down and wet the ingredients. Careful with the release, it settled in and soaked the ingredients.

“Very good!” Amethyst clapped excitedly. “Now this part is so fun! Just like you were to stick your hands in it, squeeze it and mix it and mold it into the perfect dough.” The redhead couldn't help but smile at the fun last bit of of the process. She adjusted her stance, spreading her feet a little more. Ruby wore simple attire, not as much of a fan of robes like the mage. Well-fitting khaki pants with a comfortable light red blouse over a corset. Taller and slimmer than the other woman but still had a wonderful hourglass physique that could capture plenty of hearts and minds... Even those she worked so closely with~ Her big bust amplified by the squeezing attire made so much cleavage that often Amethyst's attention was lost in it. However, Ruby never picked up on her master's struggles to keep eye contact.

Indeed, lazily the student flicked her hand to and fro to mix the batter. She imagined invisible fingers stirring, pulling, and squishing the sticky mixture as she played. Her teacher was right! This really did have a certain calming and wonderful emotion to it. After a little bit more time of kneading the bread dough finally came to shape. With a whirling finish, the apprentice quickly rolled it into a smooth ball having cleaned the edges of the bowl.

“Perfect! Now we let it rest and rise, where we can cook it into a wonderful little bun later,” the teacher said smiling.

“Thank you so much master! Do you think I could try to cook it without the oven?”

“Oh dear, I hadn't even thought of that... Look at you, so eager and capable. I swear sometimes you're a better teacher than I am. And... You know you don't have to call me that...”

“Oh, I'm sorry... I just know you are keeping my well-being in mind. You want to make sure you don't rush me and I appreciate that,” Ruby beamed.

“Tell you what, we can have you try magically cooking some of it. You know, just in case something happens.”

“You mean like if I burn it. Or worse... Blow it up...”

“I wasn't going to say that, and I'm sure you will do great. But I mean... You might accidentally heat it from the inside out... That's what I did the first time I tried it anyway. The middle was actually a nice piece of toast and the outside was still completely raw. I tried to fix it, and the whole thing popped, sending gooey bits everywhere!” Both of the magic users chuckled at the memory. “You really did good though. This turned out absolutely fantastic,” the purple-haired mage stood up and poked the dough with her finger. “I know just cooking something basic isn't so flashy but...”

“No, no! I love that you're having me practice like this. Think about it. Could you imagine if I accidentally mixed too much nightshade with moon pedals? Of course a common combination for some flashy effects but if I mashed them together too fast I could explode your tower! Do you know how to regrow limbs?” The question was comical and genuine at the same time.

The shorter woman shook her head, “I think you would do just fine making that, but I appreciate your understanding in the process. And besides... We get to have some really good fresh baked bread later on. What's not to love about that? You're such a darling to be so understanding in my methods.”

“Oh come on now you're going to make me blush... You've been absolutely terrific to me with your teachings.” The two caught themselves staring at each other, wearing a measurable amount of fondness. The teacher finally looked away feeling her heart beating rapidly and a blush covering her face.

“You are doing really well with your new wand and I... I hope you really do like it...”

“It's one of the best gifts I've ever got thank you! You are the best...” The taller redhead ran up to hug her teacher. She hadn't expected the embrace and soon she found her face resting right between her apprentice's perky plump lifted bosoms. She could feel herself getting even redder in the face. Had she ever been this close to this wonderful, pale, creamy, soft, lightly freckled skin before? She returned the squeeze drifting into a state of bliss feeling the warmth and sweet scent of her cherry blossom perfume. Finally realizing that maybe the hug had gone on long enough, she broke away and fixed her hair unable to make eye contact.

“You make me feel like the best master- I mean, teacher ever... I mean... So umm... Good work today... Uh yeah... You're learning so much so fast and really are becoming quite the mage,” she stammered trying to get back into the mentor mindset.

“Well, all the one-on-one attention to detail really shows. You're a wonderful teacher!” Ruby said already gushing again. “With your lessons, I will be ready for my own tower in no time!”

“Now now, it takes a great deal of effort to build your first tower. It's not as easy as just putting down foundation and stacking rocks.”

“Tell me more! I feel like there might be a story here...”

“It requires a tremendous amount of planning and attention to detail. The same way you use a wand to help channel your magical focus, it does that with a lot more potency.” Those bright blue eyes drifted around the room as her teacher spoke.

“You mean your tower is like, a big huge giant wand?”

“Precisely. It is built with purpose so that every room, every staircase, even the furniture... Has its place and use. Knowing exactly how it's made will strengthen your connection to it and amplify your capabilities.”

“What about the crystal at the top? You picked a fine specimen of amethyst, for obvious reasons.”

The mage chuckled, "All too predictable, I know, but I really do admire that gemstone quite a lot. Every tower needs a capstone, an object of importance to be the focal point of intention.”

“You mean that when you do magic, you can use this whole tower to increase your abilities?” The master mage just produced a smug expression and nodded. “Wow...” the student drifted off.

“Someday dear, you will have your own tower, and home, to use.” Ruby bit her lip thinking about the possibilities of becoming a true mage. The room hung quiet for a few moments until the shorter woman spoke up again. “Hey I have to get some other things together in town. You know, fresh fruits and veggies to go with this bread, maybe some magic components or potion ingredients.”

“Oh let me do that! After all I'm sure you have some other things to take care of around here. Didn't you say you needed to tend to the garden?” Ruby asked.

“I mean, it's not a big deal, I can just easily go get some things...”

“No, I insist. You take care of what you need to around here and I'll go out and about. Let me do that for you. Pleeease?”

“Oh, All right... Fine, if you insist. If you want to pick up some potion staples along with some tasty foods to go with this soon-to-be fresh bread, that would be lovely. I mean... That would be great, fine, you know...”

“Oh I'm so excited! I'm going to have my own tower someday!” She bounced with excitement and then once again went for an embrace. However, in all of her giddiness, she instead scooped the mage. Squeezing her tight and picking her off the ground, twirling her around a few times. Amethyst's brown eyes popped at the motion and her whole body warmed upon being pressed into that soft cleavage once more. Her mind was dropped into a bubble bath, feeling fuzzy and dizzy having nothing to do with the slight spin Ruby gave her. She set the reddened teacher down and excitedly bounded away.

“Don't have too much fun while I'm gone! Thanks for everything mast- ... Amethyst!” The taller redhead gracefully glided down the stairs of the tower, collecting her personal belongings before leaving. Dazed and woozy the gem-haired woman staggered backward. Wobbly with legs made of jelly, she collapsed into a comfortable carved chair with fine upholstery.

Make me feel like the best teacher ever? What is actually wrong with me? How do I sound like such a bumbling fool when I'm trying to talk to her? She has no idea what she does to me and I'm finding this so incredibly hard to navigate now. She's just so kind and precious, brilliant and excelling at her studies... And she's so beautiful...  The woman's face turned pleading.

Her hair flows like the most graceful waterfall... Her smile could turn me into a puddle of wax... And her eyes make me want to sing at the top of my lungs when she stares at me so attentively. Ugh... What am I going to do? I'm such a mess... And every day this is getting harder. How am I supposed to be her proper and professional teacher when I have so hopelessly fallen for her? There's no way she feels the same. She's just being nice to me on a polite level, trying to keep things professional. If she truly knew how I felt, it would be a disaster. I don't even know if she likes girls... I mean in like a... Oh gods I'm in so much trouble...

She put her face in her hands and groaned for a long time. She snapped up and sat up straight.

I have to keep myself busy. I can't be thinking like this... I can't even have these thoughts for a moment. I'll go do some of my own practicing and attend to the garden like I said I would. If I keep my mind preoccupied on my work, I won't fall into such spirals of pathetic romantic fantasy... Why did I call it romantic? There's nothing... It's just...

“Ughhh!” She yelled before wheeling up and grabbing her wand off of an old expertly crafted study desk. “I'll just go tend the garden, get my mind clear again while she's out and about. It will be good for me to be outside for a little while I think. I just need some fresh air.”
