Chapter Notes:

Let me know if I made any mistake while uploading it here lol, still trying to figure the website out.

The kitchen was feeling eerily quiet, with the noises from the party in the rest of the house seeming distant. Alice had her eyes on the door while she used the coffee dispenser. Nobody came in. She added milk to the coffee, and all was still fine.

For the second cup of coffee, she put in half as much coffee as the first one. Then she checked the door again. She stared at it intently for a moment, as if she was daring it to let someone in. But nobody came, and Alice was free to do what she wished. From her purse, she took out a small glass bottle.

It was a really small bottle, small enough to fit in one’s palm. It contained a green-yellowish liquid, and the label on it read, in scribbly handwriting, SHRINKING POTION.

I really should have removed that label, Alice thought to herself. Fortunately nobody was there to see it but herself; her slight carelessness hadn’t cost her anything. With practiced swiftness, she unscrewed the cork and poured all the contents of the bottle into the second coffee cup. After she stirred it, it couldn’t be told apart from regular coffee. To finish her work, Alice poured in some milk and added a sugar cube.

Just how Lucy likes it.

Another glance at the door. Still, nobody was coming in, and her little maneuver had gone entirely undetected.

The way it worked was quite simple. After being mixed with another liquid, in this case coffee, the shrinking potion would have no noticeable smell or taste to the average person. Whoever consumed it would, after approximately fifteen minutes, start to feel very aroused. This would quickly build into an irresistible desire to masturbate. They would be unable to come, however. Instead, they would black out and then quickly shrink to around three inches in height.

If, for whatever reason, the shrinking didn’t occur, the person would be able to orgasm like normal, and any other odd symptoms would pass.

That was a very strange way of shrinking, but the point of it was that nobody would see the victim shrink, as they would try to get somewhere private in order to masturbate.

With her coffee cups in hand, she carefully pushed the door open and entered a room that sharply contrasted with the kitchen. It was dimly lit, with an overabundance of tacky pumpkin and bat decorations. There were people talking, the bass of the music playing in another room ran through the walls—everything felt more lively. She took a deep breath. This was not her idea of a good time. Parties had never been her thing. Halloween parties, even less so.

Originally she hadn’t intended to come, but when Lucy asked her about it a couple of weeks ago, she realized that this might be her best opportunity to make use of the shrinking potion she had been working on. Supposedly, the paranormal forces were stronger on Halloween too, although she was pretty sure it was going to work either way. All the other potions she’d made had worked, and while the shrinking potion was the most complex one thus far, she had gotten the recipe for it from the same website as most of the other ones.

Since there were going to be plenty of other people at the party as well, nobody would first suspect Alice to be responsible when someone went missing...

Looking around her, that had panned out the way she hoped. There were people scattered all about the building, many of them drunk, and nobody had paid her any mind. Well, except for Lucy. Sweet, friendly Lucy had of course greeted Alice when she saw her.

And Lucy was going to shrink.

Lucy was, as it turned out, her friend group’s designated driver for tonight, so she couldn’t drink. Alice, also not intending to drink, had eagerly offered to get her some coffee from the kitchen instead. Yes, she was allowed in the kitchen.

Shrinking Lucy might have been strange, considering she was probably the closest to something Alice could consider a friend. But she could not know for sure with Lucy. Lucy was friendly with everyone. Lucy was the kind of woman who could make new friends just by asking people for directions. And that was part of the problem.

Alice didn’t like how inferior Lucy made her feel. She was smarter than Alice. She was not only prettier, but more confident in the way she moved and talked... it was no wonder she got people’s attention so easily. When she and Alice met new people, all their attention was on Lucy.

Part of Alice wondered if Lucy only kept her around so that she would look better in comparison.

It was also the fact that she and Lucy had such similar interests that annoyed her. It meant there wasn’t much that Alice alone was good at, no, Lucy was always there to best her. If, for example, Alice played a new video game for a few months, Lucy would suddenly pick it up and be as good as her within a few days.

But there was one advantage she had over Lucy, and that was magic. Alice hadn’t believed in magic at first, but she’d stumbled upon information about it on the web while looking for various methods of self-help. It had taken a bit of trial and error to distinguish the real spells from the fake hocus pocus, but she had done it. And now, she had a potion in hand.

Well, there was no way she’d feel inferior to Lucy if she was fifty times bigger than her. Once the shrinking serum had entered Lucy’s system, Alice would always have someone to look down upon. In fact, Lucy would be incapable of fending for herself. She’d be entirely dependent on Alice...

And even if Lucy would hate her for shrinking her, she had read enough to know that wouldn’t last. Everyone desires human interaction. With her only interactions being with the person who shrank her, she would slowly come to view those positively, especially once she would accept that she was never getting her old life back. Alice wouldn't be a cruel mistress either, as long as Lucy knew her place.

The thought of all that was... distracting. Alice regained her focus when she saw Lucy approaching her, having excused herself from the others.

“Ah, thank you,” she said, and grabbed the coffee cup.

Alice’s eyes lit up seeing Lucy bring the cup to her mouth. But suddenly, she stopped and looked straight at Alice.

“You didn’t spike this, did you?” she asked.

Alice froze. How did she—

“Kidding!”

Alice tried to not show her relief. I really need to act normal, she thought to herself. It would be a shame if she aroused Lucy’s suspicions now, when she was so close to having her in the palm of her hand.

“Sorry, bad joke,” Lucy said, smiling excusingly.

“No, it was—funny. I’m just a bit overwhelmed right now.”

“Ah, yeah. These big parties aren’t really my thing either. But hey, you have to face your fears head on, or something.”

Alice wondered why Lucy was saying that, because frankly Lucy seemed to be in her prime at these kinds of parties. While most of the attendees awkwardly stuck to their own friend groups, Lucy had no problem striking up conversations with complete strangers or even bringing unrelated groups together in a way that felt entirely natural. That was always something Alice had been jealous of, having a hard time making friends herself.

“Anyway,” Lucy continued, “we’re playing Drop the Anchor, wanna join us?”

Alice was not familiar with that game, but as she needed to keep an eye on Lucy, she decided to join the people playing it in the living room.

There were eight or nine people there, some were part of Lucy’s friend group and therefore sort of acquainted with Alice, whereas others had been picked up as the night went along. There was a warm vibe in the air, with everyone looking happy and being friendly.

Alice’s attention was not so much on the cards and the board, but on Lucy’s coffee cup, which still hadn’t been drunk from. Hopefully she was just waiting for it to cool. She didn’t have to drink all of it for the potion to take effect either, just a sip would be enough to get her down all the way to three inches. Drinking more would only speed up the process.

Alice took a swig from her own cup while she waited. She knew Lucy had to drink from hers eventually. Then once she did, it’d only take a little while longer for her to shrink. And then, it’d be child’s play for Alice to sneak her out and bring her home. The thought of that was such a turn on, she could feel her vagina getting wet. She crossed her legs and tried not to think about that for the moment. Focus on the task at hand.

But she found that her arousal didn’t go away. In fact, it grew stronger. And along with it, so did her worry. It took a moment for it to click that what she was experiencing felt exactly like the symptoms of the shrinking potion.

How is this possible? she wondered. Across the table was Lucy’s coffee cup. From the looks of it, untouched. She looked at her own coffee cup, which she had drunk from. Had she accidentally given Lucy the wrong cup? If so, she had made a terrible mistake.

She mumbled something about having to use the bathroom, which was technically true. She had to get out of there. Out of the living room, through a hallway, up a stair, down a step. Finally she was at the bathroom, where she wasted no time in pulling her panties down and getting to masturbate, albeit as quietly as possible. No question she had ingested the potion. If the potion would work, then she shouldn’t be able to reach climax. Her clitoris felt incredibly sensitive as she rubbed it, and the combination of arousal and panic was clouding her head, preventing her from getting relief. Eventually she couldn't handle it anymore. She leaned back against the wall, and blacked out.

When she came too, the strange sensation in her body was gone. So was her strong arousal. She was just tired now. Like all her energy had just left her. Now was not the time for rest though, even though whatever she was lying on felt so comfortable. It was harder than her clothes, yet softer than the bathroom floor should be. It felt warm, too.

A sudden loud noise immediately forced her awake. It was far from the loudest thing she had heard, but it was startling just how present it was around her, with a wave of air hitting her straight on. She stood up. A startling sight met her when she opened her eyes. A massive face, so big it took a moment before she could even register it as such. The mouth, looking like a horrible living chasm the way it opened and closed. The eyes, cold and blue and with all their details amplified. Each one digging into her.

Even harder for her mind to comprehend, was that it was Lucy’s face. Alice stepped back in awe and terror, felt like she was about to fall, and then threw herself forward so she wouldn’t fall off. She was in her hand, she realized. She was in Lucy’s hand; held far above the ground.

How on earth was this possible? Why was Lucy here? Had she followed her? Unlocked the bathroom door from the outside, like some sort of pervert? She tried to read the expression on her face. It was one of frustration, more than anything. Not shock, or even sympathy. Did she somehow know that Alice had tried to shrink her? If so, this was very, very bad.

She had ended up in the hands of her would-be victim. Who knew what her revenge could look like?

“Can you hear what I’m saying?” Lucy repeated.

Alice swallowed her fear and nodded.

“Good. Right now we’re alone—” she glanced at the door “—but someone could walk by at any time and I don’t want them to hear us talk.”

Alice nodded again.

“So let me just ask: what the hell were you doing?”

Alice did not know what to say.

“You can talk, right?” Lucy sneered.

“Yes!” Alice squeaked. “I’m sorry.”

Lucy narrowed her eyes. “Sorry? For what?”

“What do you think?”

Alice’s slightly more bold tone had immediate consequences. Lucy picked her up by the leg and let her dangle upside down in front of her eye. In spite of her fear, she couldn’t deny that Lucy’s face was a very pretty sight. If only she was the one looking down on it, instead of the other way around.

“From the looks of it, you tried to shrink me.”

“Can you—can you put me down?” Alice stammered. Dangling upside down was making her dizzy and scared. It felt cold on her naked body too.

Lucy sighed, and reluctantly lowered Alice down to her palm.

“Your plan was to put a shrinking potion in my coffee, and then give it to me. Is that right?”

“Yes,” Alice admitted. No point in hiding anything anymore—the shrinking was irreversible. “But how did you know that?”

“I’ve had bad experiences at parties before—people putting stuff in other’s drinks and the like. So I’ve started using sense-enhancing potions, to improve my sense of smell and taste just before I drink something. To detect if anyone tried something. Sometimes I thought I was being paranoid, but apparently you can never be too careful.”

Alice’s ears perked up, hearing this.

“So you know magic too?”

Lucy scoffed. “Yeah, I do. Otherwise I wouldn’t have been able to switch our drinks.”

Alice found some small comfort in the fact that she hadn’t accidentally switched them herself.

“How did you switch them? I had my eyes on them all the time.”

“Switching spell? You know, instantly switch two objects with similar properties—”

“Yeah.” Funny. Alice didn’t know how to cast spells. Even when it came to magic, Lucy was better than her.

“That’s what I don’t like about this. Do you know how rare it is to find other magic users in person?”

Alice knew. Everyone who knew about magic was supposed to keep it secret.

“And this is how I found out you’re one too? Like, why, Alice? We could’ve worked together! We could have been a magical duo! Seriously, what was the point of this?”

Alice looked up at the large face before her, considering what she said before responding.

“You’ve probably been to the same magic sites as I have. You know why people use the shrinking potion.”

“So they can shrink someone and brainwash them into becoming their little slave? I’ve read about it. Is it a sexual thing for you too?”

“Kind of,” Alice said quietly.

“It’s the morality of it that disturbs me,” Lucy continued. “I thought: ‘who would do something so fucked up?’ Well, apparently someone I trusted would do that. Someone I considered a friend.”

Now it was Alice’s turn to scoff. “Come on, Lucy. We’re not friends. You were pitying me and just being nice to me to ease your conscience.”

Lucy let out a dry laugh. “Is that really how you view it?” She suddenly tightened her hand into a fist, letting Alice’s head stick out of it. “At least I didn’t plan on shrinking you and keeping you as some sort of slave.”

“I’m sorry!” Alice cried. “I didn’t—I just wanted some way to feel better. I was tired of feeling inferior to you. You’re always so good at everything, while I’m just this awkward, stupid, socially stunted thing. I wanted to feel like a normal person for once.”

“You ever consider, I don’t know, therapy?”

“I did try therapy. I’ve tried everything. Nothing has worked!”

Alice was almost crying at this point. Lucy’s piercing stare softened slightly. She shifted it towards the floor.

“What was your plan with the clothes?” she asked after a moment of silence.

“What?”

“What were you going to do with my clothes once I shrank?”

“I brought my backpack with me,” Alice said wearily. “It’s near the entrance.”

“Good.” Lucy bent down to pick up Alice’s clothes. “I’ll put these in your backpack then.”

“If anybody asks where you went, I’ll tell them you went home early. I don’t think they will, though.

“I’ll play by your rules, Alice. You think it’s okay to keep shrunken people for your own enjoyment? Alright, that’s what I’ll do then. You belong to me now. And since the shrinking potion is irreversible, well, you know.”

Alice felt a shiver run down her spine. This entire predicament was just about the opposite of what she’d hoped for.

“Eventually, you’ll probably be reported missing, but no one will find you.”

Lucy unbuttoned her shirt and let Alice fall into her cleavage. She landed on the inside of her bra and then fell backwards between the two breasts. Buttoning it up compressed her breasts so that the tiny, naked woman’s struggles could hardly be made out.

“And if you try to draw any attention to yourself, I know a dozen spells that’ll make you regret it.”

Alice stopped struggling.

“If it’s any consolation,” Lucy added, “you won’t ever feel like a normal person again. And you don’t have to worry about feeling inferior to me—you can just get used to it. Now, I have a party to get back to.”

Chapter End Notes:

Yeah, this was an entry in a contest, which might explain some oddities. There was a 3,000 word limit, you had to make use of the theme “betrayal,” and the story obviously had to be related to Halloween in some way. It was both fun and difficult, and hey, it forced me to finish another story. It ended up winning second place, which made me very happy. Feel free to let me know what you think, and maybe check out some of the other entries!
